Word For Today

In light of the recent record events around our great nation and around the world, it seems unthinkable the destruction and devastation poured out and the possibility of being able to recover…

I have heard many say: ” We Will Rebuild And Be Stronger” yet I was able to hear amidst all those who seem to be quoting “Isaiah 9:9,10 “… They say with pride;”the Bricks have fallen down but we will rebuild with dressed stone. The fig trees have been felled but we will replace them with cedars!”  This is Israel’s arrogant response to judgement of God by the Assyrians.

One man in the recent storms possibly said the most humble statement; ” We Need To Pray!”  Indeed we need to pray for all those affected by wind, wave and rain. Earthquakes, Famines, Wars, and People Loosing Heart Are All Good Reasons To Seek The Lord.

I do not believe God causes these catastrophies! Wherever we choose to live we are bond to see times of drought, excessive rain and all that goes with them. The response of people of faith can be summed up in a quote of John Wesley;  “Begin Where You Are, Use What You Have, Do What You Can!”

CONTINUE TO PRAY ALONG WITH MILLIONS WHO STILL LIVE IN THEIR HOMES, SLEEP IN THEIR OWN BEDS AND DRINK FROM THEIR OWN FAUCETS…PRAY FOR ALL THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN LEFT WITH LITTLE OR NOTHING. NO MATTER WHAT OR WHERE OR WHY, THE PEOPLE OF GOD SHOULD PRAISE THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE. HE DESERVES OUR PRAISE!
